Vintage Star (Tama) Red Satin Flame Drum Kit! - $250 (Chico, CA)

Up for sale is a recently restored late 60's 5 piece Majestic Red Satin Flame drum kit. Majestic Drums were made by Star Drums, which later became Tama in 1972. I have played quite a few shows with this kit and the drums sound & look great live!
Solid 6-ply Mahogany shells give an very warm tone with a great attack and measure: 12"x8",13"x9", 14"x14", 20"x14", and a late 60's Pearl 14"x5.5" 'President' Snare drum (8-lug) refinished with a Candy Apple Lacquer and a heavy duty Gibraltar snare stand.
The wrap is in overall good condition for it's age. It's rather hard to find an original satin wrap from the 60's in this condition. There are some scratches and scuffs from use over the 45+ years of it's life, but nothing major and only noticeable up close. Only a couple of small cracks near a couple of lugs, which is common for satin wraps from this era.
The 13" tom is in rough shape. As you can see the wrap is very dull, and has a few cracks in the wrap along with a couple of gouges. This kit looks and works better as a 4 piece. The 13" tom does not look nearly as good as the other drums on a stage, but sounds just as good as the others.
Hardware is in good working & cosmetic condition with only light pitting on the chrome.
Almost all original hardware with the exception of the batter side bass drum hoop and batter side BD tension rods. Missing the cymbal arm, which is extremely hard to find.
Drums come equipped with used Remo Ludwig Power Dot Rocker batter heads, and brand new Aquarian Clear resonant. Bass drum has a Remo Ebony Emperor with Evans kick patch and a Remo Ambassador resonant. Snare has a Remo Coated Ambassador batter and a Evans Hazy resonant. All used heads are in good condition with plenty of life left. The sound will speak for itself!
