Majestic Gold Fibre Snare Drum

Loading...

Hello:

After many years of looking I finally located a Majestic Gold Fiber Snare Drum! I also had to purchase some old beat up Majestic Drums on Ebay to obtain the parts needed to restore this little gem.

I sent the drum and parts out six weeks ago to a well known restorer and I was just told it has shipped to me today! Upon its arrival I will post some pictures.

I know this is a very rare finish, it was my first snare drum that was included with my first drum kit. It is not for sale, but I would love to share it with all of you.

Check back in 7 days for pictures!

Regards,

MAUIWH

BEAUTIFUL!

Does that have the thinner shell with the re-rings?

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Great looking snare drum.

But ... this is a curious one!

- The badge 'Majestic Semi-Pro' belongs definitely to a Pearl-made snare drum only, but

- the snare strainer is - also definitely - only a Star-made version.

If you look inside of the shell, to the fixing of the snare strainer from the back: can you find any alterations (as e.g. additional holes) in the wooden shell?

Are the hoops replacements?

Are you saying that all Majestic Semi-Pro was made by Pearl and not Star?

Yes, if I interpret all pics here in the VDF, showing 'Semi-Pro' drums, correctly.

The finish is well-known from Star to me (I don't know whether Pearl had it, too).

This is all original, totally original parts and equipment. No odd or extra holes. The badge and hoops are all correct along with the strainer.
