Well this certainly is an interesting twist.......wonder how good it sounds. I wonder if this thread will help or hurt the sale......no intentions, other than to simply discuss this bast**d.

Seems it sounds quite good....good tune (se/hear the video posted on the auction)

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Father-42 - seems you might have to interpret this for us - or is it some inside joke?

I wonder if the 12 lugs affects the sound much - and how it does. I believe it was a 6-lugger when the recording was made.

If the seller is on here (would not be surprised) then please feel free to comment here. I am not trying to influence the sale either way, am just very intrigued by the use of the Luddy hardware with the MIJ shell (which many say are significantly inferior). I happen to be a big MIJ fan.

It is certainly an eye catching drum, but I would not pay that for it.

I like the sound of MIJ snares precisely because they have so little hardware on them w/ 6 lugs. This snare kinda defeats that purpose. Looks cool though...

John,

merely Jurgen in his joke amusingly drew an analogy of the assembly from different parts... :)
