Well, it's a single-tension mahogany-ply shell Ludwig parade drum from (guessing) the 1940's. If you look inside the shell (oftentimes, you can see in through the vent hole) there will be some stamped numbers. If you find them, then relay them here and we can narrow the date down.

It appears to be original and complete. Unfortunately for the moment, these parade drums are not as desirable as drums that feature dual-tension lugs and of "drum set size" dimensions. Yours looks very clean so I would put it at the higher end of this style of drum -maybe up to $200-$250.

Hey thanks for the Info! There are no numbers on the inside that I can see, but 40's sounds right, a cuouple family members guessed around then when figuring when my father got it. Unfortunately one of the heads is ripped and theres a little rust, but the carrying bag is in ok shape.

Thanks for your time and have a great summer,

-John

Crank it up. It makes a very cool snare with a kit. You need a short stand to handle that depth but it will have a very fat and unique sound.Excited

My dad used to use a drouyn marching drum with his kit. His dad who was a master carpenter had to modify a stand for it, but he loved using it.
