Ludwig Wmp Downbeat Kit

Loading...

I've had this '68 WMP Downbeat kit (20/12/14) for a few years now and have used it with a matching WMP Super Classic snare, WMP Jazz Fest and COB Supraphonic.

However, it seemed like I'd never find a WMP Downbeat snare to go with the kit. Fortunately, I did locate one over the past year and thought I'd take a pic of the kit with it. Although the snare's a pre-serial KB Downbeat, I'm thrilled to finally have one.

For some strange reason I don't have any pics of the Jazz Fest. I attached a couple of the Super Classic, though.

THANKS for the positive feedback!

blairndrums:

As far as "extra holes" in the BD, the prior owner, who happened to be a jazz drummer, ordered the kit with two rail consolettes so that he could play it as either a 4-piece or 5-piece set. He also mounted the Ludwig L-arm mount on the top of the BD to be used when he utilized the "2-up" configuration.
