You're making me want to get a Walnut cortex Ludwig.

I own both 3-ply and 6-ply Ludwigs. I prefer the 6-ply Ludwig sound tone-wise. And I prefer the 6-ply for their projection when playing with a band, and especially prefer them for their overall better build quality. They are heavier though.

I know I said I did not care for the cortex in your other post but those do look real nice. Entertaining video too.

Thank you!

Nice kit! Green and brown don't often go together, but they look great! Did you have to do much to them, apart from painting the hoops?

Oh, and just for the record, I quite like those Premier stools. Ed Thigpen used to use one, from memory. Or at least one very much like it. Looking forward to Part 2!

Thanks! I didn't do anything other than paint the hoops. The previous owner cleaned them up pretty well. He told me he was getting rid of most of his drum gear and gave me a great deal, he through in the stool, stands, a Rogers drum shell and a Speed King pedal.

If you're referring to the Ludwig throne, that's not the one he threw in. It's the vintage red Premier throne.
