Ludwig Wall Hanger...

Loading...

Just finished this up for my son who is a HS teacher in Fredonia, Ks. It's going to hang in his classroom.

Cut down and built from a water-damaged 10x26 very early 1970s Ludwig bass drum (3-ply with rerings, clear interior). It was actually originally owned by Fredonia HS, and the "Yellow Jacket" on the head was restored/repainted (on the inside) by the current Art class. Everything is original except the lugs and claws, which I just substituted what I had available. Aaron plans to light it on the inside.

Very cool! Nice work on that all around. The kids should have painted the logo on the front instead of from behind, the colors would pop more. Great job though. It's a cool thing to hang on the wall.

Too many great drums to list here!

a light behind it will make it sharp

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

BTW, IF anyone is interested, I've got several shells this size, and a few hoops. So, IF anyone would like one built OR would like to build one, let me know... I'm sure we can negotiate a fair price for a complete job or just for parts!

I wouldn't mine one with blue sparkle and Partridge Family logo on the head. I think Bermuda has one. :)
