Someone found this vistalite bass drum (28") on his attic and wants to sell it on. According to him, hardware is ok, only paint on rims isalu damaged. Shells are only a little dusty.

I am really tempting of buying it, but am not sure about the price.

Are these valuable? Collectable?

What is whisdom?

Thanks, Wouter

Wouter, there was a guy name john bonham, he used this color, so to answer your question, yes it's fairly valuable, if it was a 26" it would be very valuable, on ebay it will bring $300.00 + just kidding on the bonham part!!! no 28" bass drum heads are around 45,00-50,00, and a complete set of spurs, $100.00 and then have the holes drilled in the shell to mount them, your looking at some bucks that way, or get clip on spurs>> good luck

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Thanks Vintagemore2000!

Got some more info: quite some superficial scratches on the shell and some severe pitting on the lugs. Most of the times I fancy to dust of nice drums, but this time I will let it pass. Needs to go for 270 dollars.

Just save my money for other items!

My curiosity: Are vistalite marching bass drums quite common? Can't imagine a bright orange drumline! Though, orange is the Dutch royal colour, but not my taste for drums!

vistalites where very populare on the drum line back in the day, because of the volume they can put out, but they scratch easy, warped from hot buses, and cracked easily, yeah not a lot of amber out there though!!!
