Well, it looks like I have to say goodbye to my Vistalites that I've owned forever. Anybody interested?

The seller, (Keith) will have to repost the photo here, he already took down the CL ad. I spoke with him on the phone today to finalize arrangements, he's a really nice guy, very easy to deal with. If he can't repost shots of the kit at VDF, when it arrives here, I take some 'before' shots and post them up. Give it a week.
Couldn't pass this one up. The 18" bass drum and the 14"x14" floor tom made it a 'must pull the trigger' deal. The price was very hard to pass up as well. Couldn't help myself... I jumped on it.
Looking forward to restoring this kit. Until now, I'd never heard of these Vistalite cocktail kits. Just another name for a 'vistalite bop kit' as far as I'm concerned. It was just way too cool a kit to pass on...

I want to see 'em too!! Hey, I'm due for some more instruction so I'll see 'em in person: note to self, call Purdie Shuffle!!!

Mick, I'm still waiting to hear back from Bob and Lou so we can jam! I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, you know you're welcome anytime. Just call, we're not leaving town...
Happy New Year,
John
PS - I'm going to try to restore them to the best condition I can. I plan to send the shells to RCI for professional repair and restoration. They'll repair all the cracks and polish the shells so that they'll not only look like new, it'll be near impossible to tell they were cracked! It'll be worth the extra investment to put this kit right.
