most recent ludwig restoration. cleaned up nicely as a nice players drum. has a few scratches and small dings. went with a ludwig medium on the batter and also a ludwig thin on the snare side. 18 strand amber resin tip 2517124 wires and cob hoops. has a later issue p83. looking for the correct one which would be a wfl p83. great sounding snare drum.

Nice!

I've got the same wires on mine too, after trying out a few. Those wires are just right for that snare.

Yay, Mikey! Welcome to COB Club buddy!

Best sounding snare drum Ludwig ever made! Yours has that killer tranny-badge too. My favorite of all Ludwig badges.

Great drum, bro. Enjoy it for many, many years to come.

Nice Mike..I think it looks great.I almost had one last year.Local craigslist. The sell had one for 475.I called right away, and sgreed to meet that day at a shopping mall. The guy never shows up.So I call and he says, somebody came to the house with 500 in hand,so he took it.

The shame was is that I had 600 in my pocket.I guess,it wasn't meant to be.

I love the two-tone shoe-laces the guy you bought it from used for snare cord! lol

Damn, Mike, you snagged that drum for less than half price! Lucky, lucky dog. You ought to grab Anna and head for Vegas or Atlantic City while you're running hot! flowers2

Hey Mike,

Beautiful snare, man! Any chance you'd be interested in a trade for a 1950 6 1/2" x 14" Ludwig Deluxe? I just posted it up in the Trade section (link below with more pics and description). If not, I completely understand...I just remembered coming across this thread and being super jealous....hahaha. Thanks for your time.
