Red felt BB bat mufflers were used until late 1964 / early 1965. It helps to date the drum, BUT it is not an exact science. I own 2 original 1964 Supras. One with red felt, one with white.

Welcome , as the fever spreads, sorry no cure for what you contracted at the flea market !
It’s a slow spreading disease that will go into remission at time thinking your cured and then wam it hits u hard ... btw do not I repeat do not open drum and smell inside it has a way of binding you to it good luck....
