I have an old ludwig supraphonic LM402. It has a keystone badge with serial #86311. When was this made? Also the bearing edge on the snare side has a few pits with sharp points which punctures the head prematurely. What's the best way to correct this?

86311 is usually a late feb-march 65 drum. could have a red felt or a white felt muffler and cob or cos hoops or a mix of each. what are yours?

Fine emory cloth - rub around the bearing edges a few times, it will knock off the burrs. Dont' overdo.
