Ludwig Supra purchase/question

Loading...

Hi all,

I picked up the following drum today from a local seller:

5x14 Ludwig Supra. Pre-serial keystone badge. Baseball-bat red-felt muffler. Original snares. No pitting. VG-Excellent condition.

Price paid: $175.

This drum is somewhat heavier than my '66 alloy Supra, so considering that plus the lack of pitting, is it reasonable to conclude this is an early-'60s brass-shell "Super-Ludwig"?

If so, what is the general fair market value of these at the moment? Pretty sure I got a real good deal, but I'm just curious.

Thanks a lot,

Charles

Good to know. :) When I first picked it up I knew it wasn't the average Supra. Gonna clean it up and use it for a while.
