There has to be a point where the transition with the different badges would account for non brass supras and supers of that time.

I never researched it, but there are so many different variations with Ludwig drums that it is hard to really figure out.

So I'm only speculating...

So I guess in the 50's and early 60's they were making just brass shells, then when the change came to the Ludalloy some of those badges might have found there way onto those shells...

Rob Cook has the date of 1963, but they were experimenting prior to that...
