Ludwig Super Classic Bass Drum

Loading...

I'm trying to find out if Ludwig produced a Black Cortex Super Classic Bass Drum in the post-1984 era. If so, what characteristics would identify the drum as such?

THANKS in advance for your time and consideration!Clapping Happy2

I'm pretty sure they did. You could probobly get one now. The characteristics would be that it would have a keystone badge that would say Monroe NC USA(although the first selmer keystone drums still had Chicago on them). The plies would probobly be six and the hardware could vary depending on the year. The bass drum claws changed at some point and Ludwig stopped using inlay strips on bass drums in the early 90's. There can be a couple of factors. Are you trying to match something up?

THANKS for the response!

AND..........no, I wasnt' trying to matching anything up. A gentleman in the local area was advertising his bass drum as a Super Classic and I wasn't familiar with the characteristics of that particular drum.

THANKS for the input!
