I've got a blue one. They're pretty nice. Would be good to have one in each color!
Ludwig Standards
Beautiful drums everyone. I think that KO has a snare in all the strata finishes if my mind is still working properly.
Mike
I have a kit in the Red Ruby Strata, still have all the original heads and they sound great !
I agree with Dan B . . . I am trying to get at least a snare in each color.
Some of my favorites from the kits in the collection
58 WFL New Yorker Blue Sparkle
67 Ludwig Hollywood Red Psychedelic
69 Ludwig Standard Red Ruby Strata
70's Ludwig BOP "Ringo" Kit
A few of my favorite snares
20's Leedy Black Elite
51 Leedy & Ludwig Knob Tension
58 WFL Buddy Rich Classic Blue Sparkle
63 Walberg & Auge Sea Blue Agave Green Pearl
66 Leedy Shelly Manne Blue Agate Pearl
Here they are. It's missing one inlay, the tom arm and cymbal mount, but I have a Ludwig mount that will fit and I kept the L-arm when I sold the Club Date.
PS - Just read that the snare was not there.
Maybe see if he will trade the original matching snare to you for the recent orphan Standard snare that you found?
Mike
That's a good idea, I'll give it a shot, may have to throw him a bit of cash because his is in better condition. It would be nice having the matching snare.
Another cool option would be to pick up a Standard aluminum snare, they sound great and fit in nicely with any of the wraps.
