I picked these up a few months back as a project. They were missing some parts and pieces, most of which was easily found. One thing not easily found was the missing inlay for one of the kick drum hoops. I had to get creative. I scanned the existing inlay in sections, so that there would be a seam under each claw. I then printed them on a color laser printer, put clear shiny packing tape on both sides, and glued them in place. If I had to do it again I would use a thicker backing material, as it tends to show some bumps from the hoops. But overall I think it worked nicely. There were also some extra holes on the floor tom so I had to find some "donor" material from underneath the lugs that was somewhat close. Not an easy task given the pattern.

Holy smokes! I think I sold you that project. Great job on the restoration! Looks fantastic. Love the inlay idea. I just recently scored another Gold Strata kit that I am going to hold on to and finish and it's missing the inlays. I may try your solution.

Great job on the restore. Very ingenious way to make the hoop inlays. I also tike the approach you took for the holes. I have a ruby red strata kit and love it. Thanks for sharing
