The shell is on plastic.
Not on wood, not in metal.
There's just a fine sheet of metal on plastic.
I don't find any information this plastic + metal kit...
Do you have any info about it?

Yes, it was a common practice to use the vistalite shells and cover
them with that wrap.
Basically to get rid of inventory they "Created" that technique.
They did this with other drums and finishes.
