Ludwig drums sound so good, that is all. Merry Christmas.:Santa:
Ludwig Sound
Funny, you had to edit your post.😂
I love Clubdates, they seem to find me, so over the past couple years I’ve just ridden the wave!
Now I am considering selling my Camco kit to buy more Clubdates!
It’s a Ludwig conundrum!
Merry Christmas to all drummers!
1965 Ludwig Clubdate Oyster Blue
1966 Ludwig Clubdate Oyster Black
1969 Ludwig BB Blue Oyster Keystone Clubdate
1971 Ludwig BB Black Oyster
Early 60's Camco Oaklawns Champagne Sparkle
My 1968 Super Classic set in Champagne Sparkle (even with the 'faked' floor tom) is still my favorite 'gig set'....
I don't know how Ludwig has survived for all of these years with me not ever considering buying a Ludwig set as one of the many new drum sets I've bought since 1957. Happy holidays to all from me and all of my drum sets of other-than-Ludwig pedigree.
Well I could not have said it better merry Christmas !
Ludwig all the way oh what fun it is to play a Ludwig drum today ayyyyy!
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Big fan of Ludwig here too! But not ready to sell a Camco kit to fund more Luwigs. Currently I have a "jelly bean" setup with all Ludwig drums ( except for snare) and its sounds wonderful.
Thank you!

I just did that, or rather, I bought what I always wanted - a mid 60’s WMP Ludwig downbeat with added 16” and 2x 13”. Then I sold my Camco, Premier, Rogers etc. I really only need the Ludwig, it has THE sound.
I was "Ringo" influenced when I began drumming. My school used Gretsch drums for marching, concert and stage band. Those red sparkle Gretsch were so damn heavy. Therefore I bought Ludwig as my first quality kit. I have loved their sound and never wanted anything else. Fifty years later.......I still do.
22, 13, 16, 14x5
1968 Ludwig Hollywood kit Blue Oyster Pearl
22, 12, 13, 16
A Zildjian cymbals (50's-70's)
and none sound better than this era.
Currently inbound with the fat guy to my house.
Happy Holidays indeed! x-mas3
I may have to kidnap Santa for those.:Santa:
