I bought a 1972/73 Koa colored Studio 7 drum kit today. With the kit I was also given a Ludwig snare drum. It appears to be a 4x14. It has "Ludwig" engraved in the snare drum with "trademark" engraved under it. The throw off has "pat pend" engraved on it. It has 8 tube lugs, clip style single flange rims. Please help me identify the year and value. Of course the snare needs some cleaning up. Also the bottom head has a Ludwig Weather Master drum head.

Thanks!! Do you have any idea what a fair market estimated value would be for this drum?

That I don't. One of the Ludwig guys will come along and help you with that. Should be pretty good since it's an 8 lugger with a pretty heavy shell. Only bad is the throw off being junked.
