**** ludwig snare- Value, Year? ****

Could someone please tell me the year and value of this ludwig snare....I think its somewhere between 1964-1971 but im not sure. The tag says its a ludwig standard #31185 .....

1. Drum Shell Material -- Metal

2. Drum Dimensions -- 5" x 14"

3. Interior Finish -- Natural

4. 8 lugs, tone control knob, tension rod, script logo butt, p-83 script logo strainer, triple flange hoop

Any help would be appricated thanks..........

Ludwig Standard from around 1970-71 or so. Aluminum shell...like an acrolite.

Probably would sell on ebay for around $100.

nice snare. the ludwig standard models appear in the 69 catalog but actually started in 68 i believe. were made for a few years until the very early 70's. you might have been thinking 64 because of the serial number. a keystone badged ludwig with that serial number would be a 64 model. ludwig used a whole other sequence of serial numbers for the standards.

ive seen those metal standard snare drums sell for 50 to 150 bucks. about like an acrolite. they have a little rarity in them with that p83 throwoff with the ludwig block logo instead of script. pretty neat.
