Ludwig Snare Throw Confusion Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi, lurking here for a while, love the site!

I have what I believe to be a mid 70's Supraphonic, with the pictured snare throw. I've been researching but am confused as to whether it's a p-83 or p-85.

I'd like to replace it with a throw that can use ribbon, I just can't seem to get happy with wire, cords, string on the strainer.

Not worried about period correctness, just reliability and comfort.

I t is a p 85 . p 83 are on 6o's model drums and earlier not in the 70's
