Ludwig snare drum!!!!

Hello everybody,best for all and happy forth birthday,best for all of us from Serbia!

Is this regular Ludwig snare drum.Looks like acrolite with 10 supra lugs and supersensitive snare mehanism?Is it possible that someone took all off the chrome from supersensitive snare drum?

Yeah, I also think it's the way the drum came. Considering the rusty and unkemp condition it's in, I would bet against the chrome being removed for cosmetic reasons. Plus, the badge seems to be intact for the chrome to have been removed that accurately by any other means than sandblasting Again, looking at the rest of it, I'm betting against anyone going to that much trouble to improve the looks.

There was a rash of 6/12 x 14 Acrolites, the story goes they were special ordered for a school system in New York. They usually do pretty well on eBay

There have been a bunch on eBay, and some might be stripped chrome models, but most are actually real vintage stock. 1970's I think, at least from the Pointy B&O badges I've seen on them.

All that I've seen have been fitted with 10 Imperials, I'm yet to see an 8 lug 6 1/2 x 14 Acro.
