Ludwig Snare Drum Help !

Loading...

I bought a Ludwig Vistalite set in the 70's and it came with the snare drum. It's the large keystone badge next to the rim and looks like no serial number on it,it's very worn out There's a Ludalloy sticker on the inside. I was told it's an 80's-90's snare drum but I have photos of me playing it in bands in the late 70's. Could you tell me if this was made in the 70's are what,I'm confused ! I've attached some photo's.

Does not look like a large keystone badge, hard to tell from pics but if no serial # pre 1963,otherwise 63 69 ish, the black center p 85 strainer if original would be 70's could be a late 60's shell, ludwig overlapped parts.

It is a large keystone badge. They came out in the mid 80's. So this snare is 1984 and up. There's no way this is a 70's snare. Ludwig stopped making keystone badges in mid 1969 and went to Blue and Olive. They use B/O Badges until about 1984 when they switched to the large keystone badge.

I also notice it has bowtie lugs and not imperial lugs. Some supras were made with bowtie lugs.
