That's one of the nicer kits that I've seen you come across in a while.

I use coated ambassadors on the toms and at the moment the kick has a coated Powerstroke with no other muffling. I'll eventually get a coated Ambassador or Emporer for the kick with a felt strip.

When I say boom, I mean I have the kit pretty much wide open and have medium tension on the toms, not too low, not too high. I think that approach works best on the 3ply Ludwigs.

I used the tom arm at rehearsal tonight, worked out well. The tom didn't choke and I was able to get it in a comfortable position.

Cool. You have a nice set of Super Classics. They look great and they appear to be in very good condition from what I can see. Unfortunately the inlays in the hoops are missing, but they can be replaced.

Thanks and ya, I'll get some inlays. The kit has some cosmetic issues, mainly the 13, there's an inch hole on the side that was done very poorly and about four inches of the wrap was removed by the previous owner. She had planned on re-wrapping, but decided not to remove anymore after it became too difficult. Luckily neither can be seen from the front.

As has been said, SS is pretty much unchanged, so a re-wrap on the 13 should be no big deal.......marko

I've thought of that, but the wrap has faded to that cool gingerale look, a new wrap wouldn't match.
