Hello everyone,

I picked up a 5 piece set of shells from what appears to be an 80's Ludwig Rocker set. They had the black and white badges and had a balck wrap that was two sided taped in 2 spots. I stripped the wrap off and the wood underneath was suprisingly very attractive. However the inside of the shell is coated in a grayish brown speckled coating. Does anyone know what kind of wood these shells are made out of and if they are worth the time and effort of re-finishing?
