Self-stick veneer?OH YES,I can see it now, those Rockstars in my garage in Walnut or Cherry.Where you get?

Sorry, I have no idea where you can buy this stuff retail. The closest thing I've seen to this is some heat-activated glue backed veneer at Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc.

Several years back I was a production supervisor at a cabinet shop in Chanute, Ks. We not only built custom cabinets, but sold "re-fit" jobs where the customer could order new doors and drawer-fronts for their cabinets and then this veneer with the peel-off backing covered the cabinet faces and ends, trimmed to fit of course.

A couple of the guys I worked with still work there, and I got this load from one of them...

Tom try this site. This is where my supplier gets my venners. Only problem is you might need to order from some type of middle man.

And here is a site I found that might be the answer to my Fibes kit. Lots of cool products. Found a mirror sheeting that would cost 420.00 to do my kit but its a peel and stick also. And you can get the material as long as you want, only one seem. Jamminsams are only 54" long.

Jeff, I just spent some time on this site, and yes this is exactly what I have several rolls of. In fact, the "official" term we used for this product was "PSA skin" (PSA stands for "pressure sensitive adhesive," of course).

I haven't contacted this company yet, but will keep the link and may do so in the future. My Rockers set (when I get done with it) is going to get used in the worship (church) band I've been playing with of late. I want to see how it sounds, how the wrap holds up, etc. I'm thinking it will be fine though...

Believe it or not, even with the $10 score on this stuff, I've still got more drums than wrap available...

ShawnM -- thanks!

jccabinets -- yes, I've got quite a few. I've not done an inventory lately, but at one point last summer I had over 130 shells in my garage (various sizes and makes/models). I bought out an area music store that had taken trade-ins for over 30 years and not done anything with them but store them in a metal building. Mostly marching drums, and some of them were beyond any type of repair -- but that greatly increased my stock of parts as I salvaged all I could. Then of course I have this habit of buying more stuff (when I find good deals), and it seems at times I'm buying more than I'm fixing up and selling. These "PSA skins" are going to help me move a bunch out, now, without tying up a bunch of money in "real" wrap!

Maybe for me too! You know... I've got a couple old cans of bug spray, for wasps and stuff. :)

Okay, I'll go back to lurking...

Bill, how many of the 130 shells have the hardware with them? And by the way, I am telling my wife about your 130 drums, she will think my stash is just fine after that, so, thanks! I am always looking for drums that need wraps, mabye I could take some off your hands for you. Send me the cherry rockers and some drums for me, I will finish the Rockers and send them back to you but keep the others, like a trade right.

Graig, good luck with you bee problem. Keep that glitter paint going, you got it dowm man!
