Hi there

Have just bought a early 90's 14x6.5 chrome over wood rocker model snare drum. My question is what wood was the shell made from? Previous owner said maple, but i have my strong doubts on that!

Thanks.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think that thats a rocker 2. I don't think they had maple shells, I am pretty sure that it was just a mx of different stuff, whatever was cheaper.

They are a mixture of thick poplar plies and thin maple plies, I think.
