I really really really like that snare. It's deep and wood and 6 ply for that extra OOOMPH. Dang, that is sweet.

Nice!!! I have the " bigger brother " version (Coliseum) in the same finish and throw-off. Love how the natural maple gets that "glow" after a number of years.

Thanks guys!

I just assembled the drum yesterday and was not sure about the sound with only those 12strand wires. I took it with me to rehearsal yesterday, and have to say i really liked it. It had a nice tone, and, yes, a lot of ooomph..... Sweet drum!

When i got it it was kind of "dull" looking on the outside, but i gave it a nice treatment with furniture polish... Tadaaaa....

The lugs and strainer had some pitting, hoops had rust and the mounting screws were pretty rusted as well. So i replaced the screws with original replacements, polished up the lugs and hoops. only the top hoop still has those black spots where the rust had worked its way into the chrome, wasn't able to get rid of those. You can't see it on the picture, only in the close up...
