Ludwig restore/rewrap

Loading...

Thought I'd share a before/after with you fellas. A local guy here helped rewrap/patch up this Ludwig kit for me and I recently picked up a 4x14 downbeat snare to go with it.

Check it out!

Oh, and I have yet to install the badges and mufflers. I will most likely be re-painting the interiors as well, as they are pretty rough.

I kind of wish you didn't re-wrap them.:( But, they do look good...just not that vintage vibe anymore.

Yeah me too, but I got em for $100 :) and it had the lame swiv-o-matic installation... more like hackjob. I have a club date bass drum and rack tom in blue oyster all original though :) so I still have all the vintage vibe there! Still need to track down a 14x14 tho.

I wasn't saying it was that bad...I mean you are the OWNER of them and should be able to do what you want. At least your keeping the drums alive and using them!:)

Indeed! I need to dig up some photos of when I discovered the kit. It was in pretty bad shape, and now she feels all dolled up!
