Can anyone give a hint on how to remove the grease caps on 50's or 60's Speed King pedals.

There is a video on youtube where the guy wraps the "goal post" with a towel then whacks it with a hammer and the cap pops off. I just tried it this week and it works. I used a rubber hammer, hit the post and the cap popped off. Pretty easy.

Yea, key is using a rubber mallet/hammer. Came off with ease! Keep some towels handy, 'cause that grease that's in there is nasty!
