Ludwig Natural Maple help

Hi there... I just got hold of a Ludwig Rock/Concert Model from 1978. The natural maple exterior looks a Little worn. Is there i could use to make it nicer, like furniture polish, or should i just leave it i have no experience with Natural Wood drums...

Also: is there anybody making replacement snare wires for these drums? Puresound doesn't as far as i know...
