It looks like you have a piece of felt inbetween the front bass head, how does it effect the sound>? I was going to try that on one of my sets

That felt stripe muffles the BD sound just a bit, without using more muffling inside the BD or "deadening" it. I installed a Remo P3 coated as batter head, and the sound is huge!

Oops! Just noticed that it is labeled '79. Now I know why I missed that one. I was deep into the first child and first house in '79.

That finish doesn't show up very often, seems to be quite rare. Not that it is nice enough to be highly collectible LoLoLoLo but still a great kit.
