I have Ludwig 20" BD 12" deep. Anyone know the spacing (distance) from drum edge to first "classic" drum lug hole? Would it be the same distance as on a 14" shell or spaced differently? Thanks

But NO....the spacing between edge and hole on a tom is different from that on a bass shell, traditionally at least. So I wouldn't use the 14" as a guide.[/COLOR]

12 or 14 inch depth wouldn't matter. It would have to do with the length of the lug tension rods, no? I think the distance from the edge would be the same.
