What's the diameter of the Ludwig L-Arm? I need to retrofit one and am curious about all of my options. Thanks.

The old style or "classic" L-rods were 9.5mm diameter.

Would a 10mm l-arm be too fat for the Luddy tom mounts and such?

The newer Ludwig mounts use a 10.5mm tom arm and are too large to fit in the classic style mount. You'll need the older size (9.5mm) to work with the classic mount. No worries if you can't find a genuine Ludwig. Check Gibralter's online catalog for L arms. I believe they do make them in regular L arm as well as the newer ball end L arm.
