Ludwig Jazzfest COB Hoop Question

Loading...

What do you guys think is a fair price for a COB Jazzfest hoop? Looking for one for a 1964/65 WMP Jazzer. Just curious. Also, sometimes I see Jazzfest snares for sale with one steel hoop and one brass hoop listed as "factory"....is that realistic or is it just "seller talk"?

Thanks,

For a nice cob or nob rim you are looking at$50.00 each, and i had a jazzfest with one brass and one steel rim factory bought them from the original owner who was very anal about his drums!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Cool.

Thanks Vintagemore!

If I go with a steel hoop or a brass hoop aside, is there a way to ensure that I am getting an era correct Ludwig rim? The drum is definitely a 64/65 model WMP Jazzfest. What are the tell tale signs to make sure I am getting the right hoop? I have a hard time wanting to just grab one off of ebay if I am not going to be absolutely sure of what I am getting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
