You know...it occurs to me that when people saw that 1967 catalog with the debut of the Jazzette.....At a glance, the picture looks like it's a red kit....so you would assume it was that color if you ordered one, right?....But, as we can see from the pictures of that mahogany Jazzette kit kit that K.O. posted (and also others with that finish), that the real color of the Thermogloss mahogany finish was/is a lot more "Devil's Food cake" color. I would imagine that someone who thought they were going to get that red kit in the picture, might be disappointed to get a dark brown colored kit, instead. Of course, now, we die for that type of finish, but back then a Thermogloss finish was considered a more "budget" finish -probably less labor intensive to spray a shell than wrap one...Anyway...just thinking about this stuff....AGAIN after a lot of years... Please pardon me. :)
