Ludwig Hoop question/ Aitwood Industries Last viewed: 2 days ago

How many plys are Ludwig early 70's Hoops. I was thinking of purchasing some after market hoops from Aitwood Ind. and they sell 10 & 12 ply at a great price. Has anyone bought from them and if so how do you rate their product.

Not sure about the Luddy hoops - but would like to offer this.

Bonnie and the gang at Anderson are GREAT and I highly recommend them!

At the same time, if you decide to go another route, be sure to check out HB Drums. They have VERY affordable hoops, and those come lacquered (though they will not have inlay grooves). Or course they may cut them in there for you ??? ask them ?? There's is made of birch I believe.

Best Blessings,

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Thanks John, Waiting to hear from Bonnie to see if they will cut the inlay groove for me. Still don't know if I should get the 10ply or 12ply hoops. Anyone know how many ply 70's Ludwig hoops are.

I've purchased from them and can recommend their products.

I've bought hoops from them both ways - with and without the inlay

channel. The rounded front edge and back cut is also optional - all the

info for mill work is somewhere in their price lists.
