The supra will also work with about any set you are going to use do that's a plus.
Ludwig Hollywood
I don't think JR is being a fool, personal preference
Look at this kit, it screams Joe Morello, even though I know he played a Super Classic in the same finish.
Very nice, what a clean supra
Beautiful set! As noted, excellent chrome on the Supra. Is it a keeper or is this a future sales ad?

Well, I've already had a fellow member inquire about the kit. He asked if for any reason it didn't do it for me to let him know and he would take it off my hands.
Honestly, I haven't pulled the trigger yet, I'm having second thoughts, the Rogers is just so cool. I asked the owner of the Ludwig to give me a few days to decide.
Let's say you were a single man on the hunt for that one true love, which you never find, would you settle for one, or continue to date beautiful woman?
That's the predicament I find myself in, never finding that one special kit. I don't have the cash flow or room to own a zillion different kits, so I continue the search for the Holy Grail.
With my goal is to experience every vintage brand and model ever made, I share your interest and curiosity. The practicality of such a goal inherently drives adaptation. Fortunately, being in tune with spatial and ergonomic awareness limits my choices and allows to focus on sound attributes. Hardware used to a big factor in choosing vintage drums but with light weight drill free mounting brackets (Thanks Josh!) virtually any vintage set can be modernized without permanent modifications.
With that, I wouldn’t be after either set simply because of the sizes however if I had to choose between the two and the condition is comparable I’d go with the Luddy all day. Simply, if these sets are being regarded as equals in a straight trade it’s hard to beat the Supra and a extra tom, a 12” at that. Really, I say go for both! Short on space? Who really needs a kitchen table.
