Ludwig Gold Sparkle Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Hello...New to the forum. I'm looking for any and all information on a set of Ludwigs I just got. Gold sparkle. Blue/Olive badge. This whole kit looks complete including the "bowed" kick drum legs, Speed king pedals for both hats and kick. Also in this I have what looks to be an original Ludwig drum key and two Ludwig cow bells ("Ludwig Chicago"), green ink labeled kick drum head Ludwig. [Attachment: 63812]

Any info? About what date? Value, if any? I appreciate any and all help.

These show how the wrap has come slightly apart.

This is an early 70s. The pointy ends on the badge were pre-1976. Check the interiors, if they are clear lacquer they are most likely 3ply maple. I have damn near the same kit, only in red sparkle.

Hi Chad! Welcome

IMHO, looks like an ยด76 Hollywood Kit (Config.: 8x12 & 9x13 Twin rack toms + 16x16 Floor Tom + 14x22 BD + usually an LM410 - 5x14 Supraphonic)

It should be a 3 ply maple/poplar/maple with re-rings, clear interior....

Nice aditions too (cowbell, pedals, etc.)... Congrats!

Best Regards. H

Thanks for the info. I'll be completely honest with you guys. I picked it all up for $150. So I imagine that was a good deal. If I wanted to resell, what would be a good asking price including everything considering the wrap coming apart at the seams, etc...
