Ludwig Ghost

I've had REALLY a lot of fun restoring some Speed Kings... now I have a Ludwig Ghost I'd like to work on. I understand it's a really bad idea to remove the spring caps -- if it's even possible. But is there ANYTHING I can do for a bit of mechanical restoration? Somehow re-lube the springs? Any bearings that could be replaced?

Like I said, I know there isn't much to take apart but there must be something that would be fun to do...

There was an entire thread about this just two weeks ago. If you use the Search Forums feature ('Search' in the bar up above) you'll be able to retrieve it. I'm sure your question will be answered, including a few you haven't thought of.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
