Ludwig Downbeat Psych Red

Loading...

For you Ludwig Downbeat fans, The Portsmouth Drum Center in Rye NH (maybe Hampton NH) had a Downbeat in Psych red (20, 12, 14) on Thursday. A bit faded and missing the front hoop but looked pretty good otherwise for $1399. Inside a little scratched-up. I was tempted, but not enough to succumb to it. I've kept my focus on Rogers for quite a while now.

And speaking of Rogers, it appears I narrowly missed a Rogers WMP Swingtime 20, 12, 14 at the Boston Drum Center in Acton, MA. Price unknown on the Rogers, but the WMP was quite unfaded. Nice looking kit. They usually sell vintage at pretty fair prices.

Both were enroute to my son's place, so an easy stop-off in each case.

Man I’m missing my old dB kit it was so versatile

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I'm glad those aren't closer, I'd probably be trying to figure out where I could get my hands on 1400 bucks.
