Call me persnickety, but two finishes clash for me. I'd rather have a metal snare or same wrap. I'm sure it sounds good, just with drums it's like food. If it don't look right, it sticks in my head.

I know what you mean, but I think they look great together, plus I wanted to try it out and I don't have a wmp kit laying around, so I used it with the club date kit.

Nice! what year is that clubby (date stamp/serials)? I just scored a '67 club date in the same finish and haven't even had a chance to set it up yet.. I bought it to flip but will probably end up keeping it. I also have a '63 in champagne w/ nickel hardware and its been my favorite kit for a while now.
