Hi 'm in the UK and have a Ludwig Brass Snare 14inch x 6inch with Munroe Badge. The serial number has seven digits so I can't seem to find any ID / make or model in any serial data sites, in fact I'm having a hard time finding any info on Ludwig Brass Snares. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi - Nice one I've attached a photo (I think) any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi and welcome to the forum from a fellow south yorkshire drummer! What you have there is an early 80s (84 onward) snare drum. The shell, tension bolts and inbuilt dampner give it away. One of the ludwig guys should be able to yay or nay me on this.

Just looked inside of shell but can't see any stamps or markings! Could it be under the rim? I haven't taken the skin off to look.
Thanks

Yes you'll have to remove the top head and look inside the shell!! it is stamped into the shell if there is even one inside, but look, b is for brass, br is for bronze.

Actually, the stamp is on the outside of the drum, either by the tone control, or the throwoff.
Blaemire / Jenkins-Martin drums.
