It sure does not look like a 6.5 and it might have a Black and White badge.

You can see it at this page near the bottom under 1984 called the S/L Snare Drum

I thought Chrome-o-wood to, but according to "The Ludwig Book" that drum didn't come in 6.5... I think it said only 5".

However, I didn't think the drum looked like a 6.5 either.

Jim is correct. That's not a 6.5" drum. It's a 5" shell.

yeah. i dont think it looks like a 6.5 drum. as far as the badge, well the guy sent me a pic of the badge and it was a olive.blue one. but who knows. i mean maybe he is strying to scam me. i won the bid.. but it seems kinda tricky because i also dont believe it is a 6.5 drum. he said he measured it and it was 6.5. i dont think im going to pay the guy. too bad if he gives me a "bad feedback".

Is the guy knowledgeable about drums? Maybe he is measuring from rim to rim.

I think Lucky is probably right... the seller probably measured rim to rim.. that does look like a black face p-85 strainer so it probably is a Standard #600 5x14 Chrome-o-wood 4-ply.

What the heck.... nothing wrong with that snare drum.
