Anyone know when Ludwig came out with this one? I've never seen one like it before. It's got a strong resemblance to the vintage Rogers BD pedal.

According to Rob Cook's Ludwig Book, that is the Modular Pedal. It was manufactured from 1987-1993.

I'd say that pedal was imported and a Ludwig pedal board was installed (by the factory).Many pedals from that era were almost identical to that one.North comes immediately to mind.
