I played an Elkhart L&L 6-lugger today, and liked it quite a bit. It looks just like the one pictured in the webmaster's collection. It has to be one of the lightest metal shell snares ever made.

Are these drums common?

What's a good price for one in good playing condition?

It doesn't seem to have ever had an internal muffler. There's an airhole, and that's it.

This particular one looks to be all original except for the tension rods. It's pretty clean. No rust or pitting. The only clue that it's a Ludwig is the stamp on the top hoop. Other than that, no other reference to the brand at all.

Any solid info would be a help. Thanks!!!!
