Up for sale is a Ludwig and Ludwig 14x4 De Luxe "Black Beauty" with 10-point floral engraving. This drum was found in a deceased music teachers attic. *The drum was detailed by a local music shop - including buffing and replacing four tension rods and the heads. Much of the black nickel is gone but the engraving is very strong. *Wear conducive to a 100 year old drum throughout. Photo uploads keep failing, so I provided a link to th reverb sale. Can you tell me if there is such anthing as a brass engraved de luxe or if its brass that mean someone stripped the black off?

Just picked up a bb but the black, like yours, is gone ..
