Ludwig 6.5x14 hammered brass snare for sale. I am told this was from NAMM and may be a one of a kind prototype. The shell is raw unpolished brass and appears to be unlacquered, so it will patina nicely! Very unique. As you know, all the production model hammered shells are highly polished.
The drum is essentially unplayed and in perfect condition with original heads. It came to me with a set of Puresound snares. It deserves to be played and will be fun to watch the shell gain a beautiful patina.
You can get an essentially new prototype for less than a new standard production version. Was $550, then $500, NOW $475 plus actual shipping costs.
