I am restoring some old ludwigs and all the lugs are basically shot. I have been ebaying for replacements and got an email asking if I wanted nickel or chrome.
The kick is 1964; the tom is 1969. Would the lugs be nickel or chrome? Thanks very much.

it could be either; looks like chrome on your tom; nickel was a "discount" finish--could've saved you a few bucks back in the day. chrome much more common; not sure if nickel was offered as late as '69-have to check my catalogs-was never too popular. btw, i've got a sky blue pearl '60's kit with nickel finish--real vintage looking...marko

Thanks for the post! I spoke to a guy at a 'nuts & bolts'
specialist store today and he showed me the two finishes side by side. I think mine are chrome ...
